Aventon Mataro low size?

So decided to choose the Aventon Mataro Low as my new frame but I'm not sure on how it fits people as I heard of peple say that it is a small frame. I am 5 foot 8 1/2 with a inseam of 31.5". I am not sure if a 55 will fit me a bit small, should a 57 fit me good? I just turned 17 so perhaps I will grow a couple of more inches so would getting a size up be a good choice?

if you are already 17, what makes you think you will grow any more ? The vast majority of boys stop growing at age 16.

Growth stops at the age of 21 though so he might be one of the very few. Anyway, Im 5'8" and 55 seems too big for me. Your'e fit might be different from mine though

Why did you select a low? Just curious. Not the first choice for a bike to be street ridden a lot. Also not sure it will fit 28's as you were hoping .

I wanted the mataro track but it seems to always be out of stock.

Pretty sure there's a sticky thread about bike fit somewhere... but in the end you're gunna need to sit on the thing and get it adjusted to you. sorta like buying pants, unless it's a brand i know and a size I've tried I'd rather try it on in person before ordering online.

Also your probably not gunna grow that much more, but in the event it happens just raise the seat post and get a longer stem, or maybe you'll realize fixies aren't really your thing and sell it in a few months

Invent a bike that grows with you. You may have to do some ancestry research.

I just saw a 6ku Track bike on sale from my LBS for $229 instead of $299, It looks good for the price Im not sure if instead of buying the aventon mataro frame for $189 I can buy the 6ku Track bike for $229 and swap out the components I dont like on it for the ones I just bought.

You are all over the place here. I think you need to sit down, and make a decision as to what it is exactly that you want, and go from there. That 6KU is an entry level steel fixed gear with entry level throw away parts. It is no different than a BigShot or any of the other similarly priced fixed gear bikes available.

You're thinking of the steel 6KU bikes, which are similar to a PureFix, BigShot, etc. The 6KU Track (which is made by Aventon) is aluminum and while the parts aren't anything special, the frame itself really isn't bad.

^ my bad. Didn't realize that there was another one. OP still needs to sit down and figure out what the hell he/she wants before posting more threads.

How heavy is the 6KU Track bike? I could switch the fork, handlbars, stem, headset and keep the crankset wheels and frame. Or am I better off with a Mataro frame and keep the wheels that weigh 3,500g a pair and buy a new crankset etc.

This bike is $400 and is decently lightweight!

"that is too expensive and heavy"

It needs to be laterally stiff, and vertically compliant.

Have you used it on long rides? Can it fit 28c tires?

I've done quite a few long rides, had no problems whatsoever. Don't know if it can fit 28c tires though. Haven't felt the need to

I wonder if the company that makes the bike might be able to answer some of these questions.
