Took this during 2007's Cycle Oregon. Cottage Grove, where the homecoming parade scenes of "Animal House" were filmed. In the film you can see this sign for a split second. "You can take your thumb out of my *** any time now, Carmine."

Isn't it funny. I like the way you capture people is "life" moments, something I rarely do

It is still "off the hook". It made me think of Las Vegas on steroids.

I regret to inform you PW, but it would appear that you have put on some weight.
(What's that you're muttering, don't quit my day job??)

Lovely photos, we've been lucky with some nice rides and nice weather North of Montreal along some trails, great to see fall coming in, cheers

Indeed I was somewhat incompatible with my friend's gravel bike but that was the only thing I had for the trip at the time. There is a new gravel bike in my very near future... probably tomorrow ... :-) Just in time for another expedition the following weekend :-) Cheers.

thats the one thing I like about the troll is how possible tire possibilities are pretty open. I tend not to do it, as I knew the fire roads we were on before this paved section and crushed stoned path afterwards would be fine with my 2in slicks, plus it hadnt rained, so no mud.
Its a shame Im busy working all this week, its a beautiful stretch of sunny days.
Have fun bike shopping....

Might be doing Calgary to Jasper and back or this time going from Calgary towards the Okanagan instead of the Coquihalla route (brutal).

I did it in 2015 and last year. Yeah I rode the Coquihalla from outside Merritt to Hope. Never again. I'm retiring next summer. Heading on a World tour. Edmonton-Vancouver to San Diego through Mexico, Central America and South America. Then off to Europe.

The Bow Valley Parkway in Alberta, Canada is a beautiful area, and we used it as part of our routes on two different tours.

Castle Mountain second tour

Castle Mountain first tour

yes it is Hilleberg Enan. Yes it is small basically my 25 inch inflatable pad fits just right in the sleeping section. The vestibule is nice and the tent is dry during rain. It packs small. I like it for bikepacking.

Here's a pic of Spirit Mountain, in Nevada. This was an unplanned ride this morning, so just sizing it up for now. 😉 It's still somewhere between 5 & 10 miles from this point, and that's a bit, in the desert. 🤔

There's some cool stuff on this kiosk, including the Bighorn Desert Sheep, that you guys tried to ignore in another thread. 🙄😁

Forgot to say, but right after the kiosk pics, a roadrunner walked right past me, maybe 10 feet away. I don't mind that, so long as those giant scorpions keep their distance. 😳😁😉

Cute expression! (I'm going to tell that one to my wife)

Although it looks like Winston took it a bit too far and overdid it too often with all four paws....

Good stuff there, about chocolate. 👍 I like, "Chocolate, don't leave home without it". 😁

Here's a nearly all-white pigeon, who stopped by just a bit ago.
