Tried my first 'Tabata' intervals tonight. I knew not to use Erg Mode, but it was really frustrating trying to nail the wattage goals because Zwift responds so slowly - I'd be putting in a huge effort, but the power would lag by quite a bit, and then I'd overshoot, and then I'd back off and undershoot, then overshoot. Lather, rinse, repeat after 10 seconds of trying not to go over or under the "easy" wattage. I ended up completing one set, but getting only half a star because I had so much trouble trying to hit the wattage goals.
Halfway through the second set I gave up.

I must say, I am shocked...SHOCKED, that you would insinuate anything even bordering on the illegal.. This is Tiger we are talking about. Hes been to rehab. He has paid his debit to society. Hes a changed man. How could you,V.V. even think for a moment that Tiger Woods would engage in crime? Especially one so pedestrian as speeding. There isn't even a Hooker in the car.

So you're using Ramp Mode, which is similar to a dumb trainer? If so, I'd recommend figuring out your cadence, in your gear of choice, at the target power. That's how I do all of my dumb-trainer power targeting. There's still some lag and some over-shoot as you ramp up, but it's easier and more intuitive to for me to feel out a cadence than it is for me to feel out a power output.

This made me come back to the little idea in the back of my mind that won't go away - a light, SS, disc brake bike, possibly with gravel-type clearance. So dumb, but so appealing to me.

The track bike is my lightest at around 18lbs and feels lovely and lively. Not quite gravel clearance but 584x38 fits. So I fully endorse that idea

I think that my Cervelo is around that weight, so I'd want to shoot for at least a few pounds lighter with an SS. If I'm not going to get bailed out by gearing, I at least want a substantial weight placebo to power me along.

Do up a reverse dished rear wheel on that hub after respacing the axle, wonder if I could make it work with a 140mm rear end.
Then I'd have to build the frame...
