Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

it crossed my mind. It is called traction and some of my stretching does the same thing in a passive way. I am feeling worse with treatment. Someone must be doing it wrong.

There will likely be some flooring work required for Mrs. rjones28's recording space. No cabinetry is planned.

Well, daughter and her man have escaped from Galway to Hafnarfjörður, outside Reykjavik. What they had to go through to move their minimal stuff and simply fly from place to place was crazy. The upside is she’s a thousand miles closer to us and her eventual destination at UC Davis. The downside is I’ve lost my source of fine whiskey. Also, they’ll probably get married in a few weeks and we’ll miss that.

I’ve tried, but I can’t seem to drive them any deeper than the periosteum.

It was only a matter of time. There's no escaping Hafnarfjörður.

Sucks to miss the wedding.

In other news, we met our daughter out for dinner this evening. First dinner in a restaurant in a year.

Coming home is good. From what I've read here, there seems to be a lot of good whiskey out there. It's sad you're missing the wedding though. No way to find a solution, other than the obvious postponement in order for Mom and Dad to attend?

Good deal. Though me being the anti-social human that I am, I rather like take out. I do still tip like we enjoyed dinner there though.

Same here.

She lives about an hour away, so this was a way to have a quick meet up. Usually she comes to our house when we get together.

lol. Makes my eyes water! I had a lypoma removed from the top of my head last year. It was sizable. The resulting wound when stitched back together made my head feel like it was being pinched in a vice. The next day at work was a tough one..

Today is a rare occasion. I am happy to be back @ work.
Rough weekend, finished sanding and painting the hallway and master bathroom. My back is not happy with me and keeps reminding me why I don't do construction work any more. I still need to repaint the cabinets in the bathroom. But I need to rebuild the corners a couple of puppy's decided to gnaw on first..
And before I forget....I hate wet plaster!! There I said it,, not taking it back.

Next is the basement. God help me..... Then I get to put all my stuff in storage.... realators......

I wanted to go without cutting my hair, but really couldn’t tolerate it more than a couple of month due to the crazy curliness.

pre Covid I would go to my barber every two weeks.

Awesome weekend, got a rain soaked almost 40 in Saturday with some good dirt thrown in and yesterday helped 400 seniors get their second dose.
