How much does your bike weigh?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I finally got a scale to weigh stuff. I'm having fun seeing how heavy my entry level bikes are. My Trek 1000 came in right at 22 lbs with the seatpack off. Not too bad considering i have a Brooks B17 on it. I also weighed my kids 20" Giant bike and it came in at 23lbs.

PLEASE MENTION BIKE IN POST!!!

19.8lbs. Krysium Elites are heavy! Bulletproof boat anchors that are great for training.

Ride on!

'05 Scattante CFR in 53cm weighs 18.05lbs. with pedals, Astrale 8 computer, 2 bottle cages, and a rear LED. I didn't have the pack on the bike last trip to the bike shop so I weighed it without. I'm hoping to get it to around 17lbs. by the end of the summer if I can find the money for a lighter set of wheels.

This is the scale i bought. I think it is pretty accurate at least within a few ounces. I know there is a bike specific one that sells on pricepoint for like $60 but this works for me. Wonder why i am using a digital hanging scale to weigh my $600 bike and the $3000 bike owners are using a bathroom scale?

I won this item at auction on Saturday and had it in my mailbox today, Monday. That is the fastest so far for me on ebay. It came from California via US mail and I am in Kansas.
