Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

TOG on OLN

Just a reminder....

3:00 Central Sunday....Tour of Georgia.

I'm counting down the hours in my depression.

Blowing rain and 48 degrees. Fighting back a head cold I feel coming on, and I leave on vacation this Friday.

Crap.

Pumping my Emergen-C in a water bottle the last two days trying to avoid having a cold as I head off to Paris. I'll be picking up my OCP jersey from Cycles Laurent there, and get this....

Mrs. Hip says to me last night as we are planning our days out...."Oh, the museum is 2-3 miles from the train stop. It says you can take a cab, bus or rent a bike right there. That might me fun."

Bless her heart.....French cruiser bikes here we come!
