So much of that stuff I haven't listened to in a while, I've been pulling out some older albums and I'm happy I did!

Right now: Erykah Badu

i still listen largely to exactly what i did in high school - tons of bay area/lookout records stuff. i have "bay area" as a genre on my ipod and during my run today i just put that on shuffle... lotsa pinhead gunpowder, blatz, fifteen, filth, crimpshrine, screeching weasel (i know, but they were on lookout so it counts), samiam, opiv, jawbreaker and some more recent stuff - former members of alfonsin, torches to rome, please inform the captain, baader brains, bullets*in. some indian summer came on but that aint running music.

thursday's run was mostly dc - rites of spring, one last wish, ignition, bad brains, minor threat.

jawbreaker, fifteen, and samiam are still favorites of mine. and all that dc stuff was 7th, 8th, and 9th grade of high school for me; though i'll still throw on a playlist of all that stuff once a month or so.

If anyone has a copy of The Arcade Fire covering This Must be the Place (Naive Melody) by the Talking Heads I would love to talk to you. Its the b-side to the Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out) single.

I'm not a huge acrade fire fanatic or anything. I only have Funeral, but that is one of my favorite songs and need to hear this.

Envy - Insomniac Doze

this album is incredible, it blends everything i like about post rock and then throws in the good and heavy aspects of screamo and hardcore.
