Karate Monkey + Magura (Julie) disc breaks = a puzzle

I have a Karate Monkey and Magura Julie disc breaks. This is the first time I've used or installed disc breaks. Does anybody have a CLOSE UP picture of a Karate Monkey with disc breaks or even this particular set of disc breaks so I can see how they are set up? It would be best if the image showed the mounting, one for front and one for rear. Or, if you have any suggestions on how to mount these, that would be great, too.

I'm baffled at the minute because from what I can tell from the Surly Web site and the shop that sold me the breaks, these should work together but I can't figure out how.

Any help would be great.

Thnks

Your set up should look similar to this...

Front.

Rear.

Are you sure you are using the brake addapters?...

Should it have come with break adapters?

They're specific to the caliper mounting dimensions and the bike's disc mounts, so probably not. Some forks [don't know about frames] can have the calipers mounted directly, while others require adapters.

It looks like this woulkd be a good place to start.

Yes, if you purchased them new.

If your fork's disc brake mounts look like the one in the picture above and you are using 6" rotors front and rear, you will need these...

Product number 1 and 2.

Oh and its disc BRAKE, not disc break.

Just out of curiosity, can you name some for me. (not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious)

Regardless both of these Magura Julies come with adapters.

interesting, I've bought Hayes MX 1's, Avid BB7's, and Shimano Deore's. Had to buy the appropriate adapter for each one. A friend of mine put Hayes hydros on his 29er and had to buy an adapter as well.
