Help with Continental GP5000 TL and SRAM Red
I have a new old stock 2016 Cannondale Synapse with Red AXS rim brakes and Vision KOM rims. I’d like to go tubeless and was looking at the GP 5000 TL. I really like a 32 road tire (can you tell I’m coming from a MTB, gravel background) but everything I have read says the Red rim brakes max at 28mm. I currently have 25mm Vitoria Zaphiro Pro Graphines that are not tubeless. Two questions, anyone used the GP 5000 TL with Red rim brakes in 32mm? The second is more asking for trouble, thoughts on is it worth going from the Zaphiro Pro in 25mm to a 28mm tubeless? As I said I really want to get a 32mm width or even the Schwalbe Pro One 30mm, to me those are the perfect road size for where I ride....not gravel but beat up roads (no racing or crits or even group rides).

Yikes....I just cleaned up the post txs...I actually meant a 32mm GP 5000 TL or even the Schwalbe Pro 30mm.....the 25mm is ok to me but small. My gravel bike I just sold had 2.25 Thunderburts to give you a sense of what I’m used to. Most tun 42mm as FAT gravel tires, I went right to the 2.25s!

You could start by checking the clearance around your tyres to callipers, fork crowns, rear stays etc.
If you can fit a 6mm allen key or drill bit everywhere you should have a good chance of fitting the 32s.

Currently I have slightly over 6mm on each side of the 25mm Vitorria’s to the side of the fork and about 10mm from the top of the tire to the fork. I have no idea if this means I can fit a GP 5000 TL 28 or a Schwalbe Pro 30.

In 2016, a lot of tires were what we would now consider to be "oversized." Many of the current generation of tires, like the Conti and Schwalbe that you mention, are smaller than the previous generation and are made to measure roughly to their nominal size on more modern, wide rims. IOW, some current gen 32s might be about the size of a previous gen 28s. If you can find a WAM chart for your desired tire, go that route, otherwise you'll have to measure (it's generally recommended that you have ~4mm clearance for debris on all sides of the tire). Using an Allen wrench as a spacer, as mentioned above, is an easy way to get an idea of how much more space you've got.

OP, how do you like the Gorilla Monsoon? I can't recall seeing any reviews of it here on BF, good looking bike IMO.

Amazing bike, I only have the frame and had Analog Cycles in VT build it up from there, truly do anything ride anywhere with the Thunderburts and the VO Cigna stem puts you in a position that is so comfortable.

FWIW, I got Schwalbe Pro-One Evo's in 700-30c and found them to be narrower than the 28c tires that I took off, which were Specialized turbo Pros.

How tall are they?

I like speed
To answer the original question, you're not likely to get anything past a 28MM tire past SRAM Red rim brakes.
It's not exactly apples to apples but I'm riding a 2015 SuperSix Hi Mod with SRAM Red. I had swapped in a set of 38MM carbon clinchers with some Zipp Tangente R28 tires fitted on them. It clears the the frame and rim brakes laterally but what I found is that touches the rear calipers on bridge and top of the tire.
I didn't measure out the Zipp tires but I know that the GP 4000S II's that was running before were true to size laterally.

Txs...I’m starting to wonder if moving from the Vitorrias at 25 to the GPs at 28 are worth the hassle. The real benefit to me is tubeless but I’m still in limbo.

I definitely noticed moving from GP4k 25 to GP4k 28's. Now I'm constrained at top of fork for blackbike1, which just clears but sometimes requires me to stop and remove a piece of gravel. Blackbike2 has old campy record rim brakes, and I can't get much more that a 28 to pass thru without deflating the tire. Thinking about better rubber, but the gains are probably undetectable. And what is better rubber with easier deformation and no increase in puncture risk. Dunno.

With the Vitorrias I have 10mm clearance to the fork from the top of the tire. Measuring these tires though they are not round, they are 25mm wide but only 20mm tall. I dont know enough about the rims (I believe they are 30mm develop and 26mm wide) to say thats is why the 25mm wide tires are only 20mm tall. The big advantage for sure would be a little wilder tire and tubeless (I’m a fan).

If you have 10mm clearance with 25s you will be able to fit a 30.
However you say this is to the fork crown but you were originally asking about caliper clearance?
