One of my "boys" is killing me!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of my "boys" is killing me!

Today I decided to upgrade my cycling shorts. I had been using Pearl Izumi Quest with just a chamois pad. I bought the new Micro-sensor shorts with the 3-D pad. About 13 miles into my ride, I noticed that my left "boy" was hurting . Re-adjustment seemed not to help. I cut the ride short at 25 miles.

I know that the pad seems to come up much further around the "twins" than my other pad and I think there was extra pressure being applied there. My question is: Has anybody else noticed this when using the 3-D Pad?

I use the 3D pad and have noticed that it does cause more problems than the typical chamois. For me it's mostly numbness under certain conditions depending on the saddle. I started using a Tri saddle with the 3D pad and it solved the problem. I like to lean over a lot.

I have huge problems like that.

Cant stand synthic padded shorts, i always prefer the chamois pads. Thats why most of my shorts are team kits. Also i find the tighter the fit the more comfortable.

If the pain is intense, or does not go away, you may have a case of testicular torsion.

That is to say, a twisted nut.

Needs to be checked by a doctor ASAP if you think it might be that.

Have one of them surgically removed... Leaves more room for the other in cramped quarters and you can still propagate our species...

good advice but a`little late, since the time interval during which to salvage a torsed testicle is about six hours from the onset of the torsion, which btw usually occurs in preteen males, often in the middle of thenight- unfortunately a lot of 12 yo boys are not going to go racing in to mom and dad at 2 am to say one of my nuts hurts. however if your "boy" continues to hurt by all means see a urologist for and exam and if necessary an ultrasound.

Try doing this to the good one, then at least you'll have a matching set.

No, seriously, see a doctor if you're worried about the boys.

^^^ Not funny guys... at least yours works...

Makes no difference for me, have them removed and nothing changes

I would definitly have them looked at if they are giving you problems. I can not comment on the shorts... I am not your typical "guy" in that area...

Are they the microsensor pro, or just plain microsensor? The pro model seems extra thin to me in the crotch. For the money, you can get some extra thick and comfy assos.

Because most of us prefer not to think that specifically about another guy's anatomy.
