Ultra high end steel tubing and full carbon forks don't come cheap. The pricing seems comparable to other similar products.

my quick search says NO. $2000 for a frame

Would I get flak if I said that I would instinctively want to put a anodized purple wheelset and nothreadset on it?

Not from me. Bring on the aftermarket ano'd parts for sure. Hell, put on purple cranks too.
