SRAM x7 rear mech and chainstay cable boss
I putting together an old stumpjumper frame for a townie/dorking around bike.
I picked up a sram x7 rear derailleur and im thinking it wont work. The SJ has a rear mech boss on the chain stay and not the seat stay. I am not sure if i am supposed to cut a small piece of housing to jam between the chain stay boss and the x7 mount hole or if the x7 was meant to be setup from a cable housing that comes off the seat stay only.
I am confused as normally you would create a mild loop with your housing and then insert into your rear mech. The SRAM x7 appears to have the mount front facing where a loop doesnt make sense.

Cable and housing can come off seatstay or chainstay with x7 , it doesnt matter.
