Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nashbar Watt master Fluid Wireless Resistance Trainer

I need some advice,
https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...1_10000_200416

I am really not a big fan of indoor training from late nov to mid march. I noticed this trainer has the power estimator, speed etc. I do have a older trainer downstairs that I use at times with a dvd.

Do these type of trainers actually work well?

What opinions do you have on the watt system even though they might not be totally accurate at least it will show consistency

what do you think?

The problem with that one is there is no data logging, so although you see power, you can't analyze it later. You can pick up a wired powertap for around 500 bucks these days. As for trainers, I would consider rollers. They are a ton less boring, so come winter time, its not as much of a chore to get on them for an hour or 2
