Question Del Sol or Marin Larkspur for trail riding?

Hello,
I have a Del Sol Lxi7.1 and a Marin Larkspur. Some friends and I are going to take a longer ride that I usually do - 47 miles - and I am wondering which of them might ride better on a gravel trail? Restored railroad bed...
It looks like the Del Sol weighs around 30 lbs and the Marin 25 lbs. Would there be any advantage to the heavier bike on the gravel? Tires seem to be a similar size. Thanks for any suggestions...
Barbara

Most probably there wouldn't be much difference in the ride quality if the tires are similar, and weight matters only when accelerating or climbing - so for a leisurely ride on flat terrain it doesn't matter at all. I say pick the one that you're most comfortable on - that's what matters most on long rides.
