More Amtrak Options
Great news for those of us along the NEC and a couple of other areas:

The addition of the NEC is particularly sweet.
Tomorrow I will be taking the Pennsylvanian to Pittsburgh to start a tour home to Philly.

If you live along the NEC, you can now do the GAP and C&O using train transportation much more easily. Prior to this expansion, Amtrak bike options on the NEC were very limited.

Dang, I just got off the NYC to DC Amtrak a couple hours ago and am going to take a night ride around the National Mall on a rented bike in a few.
Would much rather have brought one of my own. Next time, tho!

The Susquehanna as seen from the longest stone arch railroad bridge in the world.
Unfortunately, all the foliage is blocking many of the views, but the horseshoe curve should be nice.
