Old road bike - bicycle identification

Hi!
Got this bike in my city from a reseller, who bought it somewhere in Western Europe. I would like to restore and repair frame and it would be cool to know what bike it was. Maybe I will order correct stickers, when frame will be repainted
So, here it is:
flickr.com/photos/189922575@N04/albums/72157715674878713/with/50274142898/

Haven`t find any information about old Pantera bikes and maybe these stickers aren`t from a real bike, because they look odd. Maybe you can advise?
Thanks.

------

it is german made and looks to date from the later 1970's, or possibly into the early 1980's

BSC thread headset and bottom bracket

there is a manufacturer of cycles in Germany called Pantherwerke AG / Panther Fahrradwerke AG

wonder if it may be one of their several badges...

they also did a badge called Jaguar

While it may have been manufactured in Germany, the presence of of a light bracket on the right fork blade suggests it was marketed in a country where they drive on the left side of the road, such as the United Kingdom.

Akh, here it is, as I understand. Stickers are 100% different, though.

For me, the answer, from a dollars and cents point of view, the answer would be no. However...

The bike looks to be an easy "street restoration" and a great learning opportunity. The cost to get the bike road worthy, safe to ride and pleasing to view, should run close to a hundred dollars. If you cannot do the work yourself, double that amount. Things like tires, cables and brake pads are the items most likely required.replacement. Aslo, and this is pretty important, the bottom bracket, head set and wheel hubs will require, at the very least open inspection and likely fresh lubricants. At least open those cavities up. You might cringe at what you find...

From a rider point of view, unless you are skilled and in a position to compare ride quality, the bike will prove fun to ride. However, if you are accustomed to riding higher end road bicycles, you might be disappointed. Anyway, were it me and were I just starting out in bicycle restoration, I would go for it.
