Any Cinelli folks know a good place to source parts?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any Cinelli folks know a good place to source parts?

I recently purchased a second hand Cinelli Superstar that did not come with the downtube cable stops. They're proprietary to the frame and Cinelli USA nor the Winged Store have yet to respond to my emails. If anyone knows a good dealer or part locator I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

I've emailed Cinelli USA a few times and I've never received a response back.

I'd give planetx in the UK a try - they're a Cinelli dealer and have always gotten back to me when I've had questions (granted non-cinelli).

wrenchscience.com in the US sells Cinelli - they could probably help too.

Are you talking about the little black cover on the bottom tube (your picture is an example)?

The people you want to contact are at cyclone bikes in New Jersey - they are the Cinelli distributors In the USA.

Back in the day, when I was really into riding Cinelli track bikes (and some road bikes), I had good luck with Retrogression. They're in Portland, now. Back then they were in San Diego. Dave was great at getting hard to find parts from Cinelli for both my track and road bikes.

Interesting. This just popped up on the cinelli-usa website - cable stops for the superstar frame.

For that price you could probably order a crate of them from Milan shipped to the US.

So I ended up getting my cable stop. Basically no one in the world could find this part for me. I was emailing shops and distributors all over the globe. Cyclone distributing informed me that the part wouldn't be available until "sometime in 2020". A lot of people recommended other frames that have similar stops but nothing lined up right and I'm a bit OCD about things like that. A lot of folks suggest "just 3D printing one" but that's not as simple as people assume it is. There is no file anywhere we could find and I have no idea how to design something like that from scratch. Without the part it would be nearly impossible to duplicate and if I had the part I wouldn't need to duplicate it anyways.

Eventually Cinelli USA reached out to me that they had one on the website for me. I assume it was taken off an existing frame and marked up about 300%.

C'est la vie. I'm just happy to have my bike.
