ceeblee I just got the cut-out version of the Aspin and am still breaking it in, but so far I like it. I am not one of those people who needs a cutout, but I decided to try it on a whim, based on the idea that it would give each side a little bit more independent flex, as my leg lengths differ slightly. It replaced a Brooks B17, which I always felt was too low. (If I raised it, it hurt on the side of the shorter leg). Briefly, I can raise this saddle significantly higher without discomfort. It is still pretty stiff, and I just managed to scuff it up falling in a trench, even before completing the break-in. I bought mine from Ben's Cycles, which was the best price. I don't feel the edges, which is good because that would really bother me. They rounded them off pretty nicely. It is a well-made saddle.
