Vintage MTB Muddy Fox Seeker Prestige Mountain Bike Steel Tange - $350 (SE Portland, 34 & Division)
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...093999157.html

Vintage 80s Muddy Fox “ Seeker Prestige” Mountain Bike. This one has its original components and parts, but looks to be only gently used over the years so everything is working great. A few minor scratches and blemish on paint. Features suntour XCD Components and ARAYA rims. Still has original Muddy Fox Tires and grips. It could use new cables and housing, but otherwise rolls smooth and feels solid.

Tange Prestige Steel
Wishbone Seat Stay

Metallic Dark Grey
Colorful and Unique Decals under clear coat!

Seat tube: 18”
Top tube: 22”

This is an interesting one- wasn't this one of the first companies in the UK to make mass-produced MTBs?

Bridgestone Grand Velo 2000 60cm - $500 (Portland)

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...094575425.html

Bridgestone Grand Velo 2000
24" Seat Tube, 23"+ Top Tube
Immaculate shape, definitely a collector's condition bike or a sweet retro ride.
All original except for rear wheel and Shimano 600 crankset inplace of the Suntour. Lots of lovely Suntour bits throughout.
Could use a tune-up, mainly new brake cables and minor derailleur adjustment.

Any tall kids out there looking for a high-end Bridgestone? Shame about the 600 crank replacement, but the Superbe drivetrain looks gorgeous otherwise. (Second from the top in the '86 catalog, just behind the 3100, which was New Dura-Ace-equipped)

I agree. The Japanese Raleighs don't get the respect they deserve (paging Rodney Dangerfield). The quality and workmanship appear excellent. Apparently Bridgestone built most of them (from Wikipedia):

In 1979, production of Raleigh 531 butted-tube bicycles reached 10,000 units a year. In 1980, the former Carlton factory at Worksop closed and production was moved to a Lightweights facility at Nottingham. However, all bicycles made there afterward still carried the W for Worksop frame number designation. In 1982, rights to the Raleigh USA name were purchased by the Huffy Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, Raleigh of England licensed Huffy to design and distribute Raleigh bicycles in the US,[26] and Huffy was given instant access to a nationwide network of bike shops. The renamed Raleigh Cycle Company of America sold bikes in the US while the rest of the world, including Canada, received Raleigh of England bikes. At that time, production of some U.S. Raleigh models were shifted to Japan, with Bridgestone manufacturing most of these bikes. By 1984, all Raleighs for the American market, except the top-of-the range Team Professional (made in Ilkeston) and Prestige road bikes (made in Nottingham), were produced in the Far East.[[i]citation needed] Meanwhile, in the home market, Raleigh had broken into the new UK BMX market with their Burner range, which was very successful.

Don't see Peugeots with 531P pop up every day....

https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/b...093570039.html

Peugeot Sante 531 Professional - $475 (Des Moines)

Very rare and beautiful 1988 Peugeot Sante. Retains the original Shimano Sante group (brakes, levers, hubs, headset, derailleurs, cranks and shifters), original Selle Italia Turbo saddle. This is the only 531 Professional I have personally ran across and is considered a step above 531C. Recent tires and bar tape.

Whoa that Pug looks nice. I'm really starting to dig the colors and style of the later Peugeots, and that one seems special. My size but fortunately too far from me-- I'm trying not to pay shipping if I can help it--- and there's a black Motobecane Grand Jubile I'm looking at nearby to keep me from looking for a facilitator in Des Moines...

Who has good plans for a bike shed? I need more storage....

Looks like a Tunturi badge on an interesting ladies' 3-speed. Not expensive and not 1930 as claimed, but a neat thing. Never seen one but it looks like a tall frame and it sure looks quaint. I like quaint.

There is a roofer here in Chesterfield, VA that came into my shop to have some air tools repaired. He saw some of my bikes in my office/warehouse and told me he had an old racing bike. He said it was a Puch Royal Force with full DA and 54cm, which is around my size. I offered to purchase it if he ever wanted to sell it. He didn't seem interested. I got his number when he picked up the tools. That was about 5 years ago. I keep hoping he'll walk back through the door. It's getting about time to have a new roof put on my house. I still have his number in my top desk drawer. Maybe I should call and have him give me a quote on the roof.

Turquoise Tommasini, C-Record, Delta brakes. 58.5 cm, Joe Bell repaint. $1900. Seller needs to knock at least $1000 off that price, but a seller can dream, I suppose. Not sure what's going on with the east-west drivetrain.

This was on eBay a few weeks ago. It sold for $225. Obviously, this guy's trying to flip it. I was thinking about putting a bid down but I realized it's not my size.

Def a '90s bike, and the fork looks original, so probably a threadless adapter. And v-brake upgrade.
