Dancelli TT Update !!! <PICS>

These should be enlarge when you click on them....

So I had some time this week to get a little work done, and while I did not do a repaint, I sanded and buffed the frame some, shot a transparent purple over the original color (auto paint and extremely close match!) then buffed it up. I really love the color in the sunlight- it comes alive. Sorry I can't capture it better for you. Applied replacement decals (from Greg at Cyclomondo) and dropped a Gipiemme post and yellow saddle on it to check the colors out...have a matching yellow bar tape and I think that should scream 80's Funny Bike plenty loud enough !!

It will be getting a set of all polished Delta's and other Croce D'Aune or C-Record bits....!! Full disc rear wheel and proper open 650c up front. More photos as I go along...

Thoughts ? Opinions ? Like it / Hate it ???

Cheers,

Joe

Looks superb! Color is awesome and yellow is the perfect contrasting color.

I thought of your project when I saw these on Ebay late last night:

Same guy?

Did you do the fork in the same color, or are you upgrading to something carbon?

Oh, and what is that little tab under the down tube, about a foot up from the BB shell?

Looking great; I can hardly wait to see the final result

Thanks DD !

Yeah - Cyclomondo from Australia. I sent him detailed photos and dimensioned drawings so he could reproduce the Dancelli decals ! The 'tab' is a question I have as well...it is actually a round braze on boss that is tapped. I haven't a clue what that is for actually !?!

The fork is all chrome !

Great job so far Joe!

I liked the purple to begin with, but I remember you didn't, so I'm glad you didn't go and change it. Purple is pretty unique. That headbadge is really something special. One of the nicer ones for sure. Decals look good to, and I agree, yellow is the perfect contrasting color. Yellow bar tape, yellow cables and maybe even yellow walled tires. I did it on my Barecci, and I think it looks great.

Hot bike, I would love to find a available TT bike at a reasonable price. There is a Moser close by here but It's not for sale.
