On the plus side, Blue Hills SHOULD be back on the classic course this year, but we will see.

Well, not likely to conflict with many other races ...

Cones in the rotary is dumb. Life flights ensued.
Hilltowns is booked. Will go up on bikereg on Thursday, reg closed. We are going back to a modified version of the old East Hawley course. 55mi/4000 feet for the amateurs, 95mi/6700 feet for P/1/2.

Hilltowns returns to East Hawley Rd? I'm not sure I can afford the amount of saran wrap I'm gonna need to protect my couch.

So @shovelhd, is the course modified because the start is still at Berkshire East, or are we back to Windsor Notch Reservation? I guess I'll find out tomorrow if you don't feel ready to share .
If it's the former, that's pretty cool. If it's the latter, also cool, and finishing with a climb is classic. If it's the former and the finish line is somehow at the top of the climb, I might get a serious road race *****.

Can confirm we are trying hard to get Blue Hills back on the Classic Course this year. We have a leadership meeting on Friday and the Classic is on the agenda. It will either be back on the classic course or no race at all. As far as I know, we are definitely not doing Wompy again. The date will also be different than our usual race date due to construction projects. Looking at a July or August weekend.

No Berkshire East. It just didn't work out well for a bike race, for many reasons that we can talk about privately. The start-finish will be at Notchview. The modification keeps us out of a trouble spot in one town, otherwise the course is 98% the same as the last time we raced at Notchview. The P/1/2 climb East Hawley once just like the rest but they do a shorter, flatter loop first.

Because Notchview Reservation is in Windsor, MA.
Part of your race fees go towards preserving that beautiful open space.

And @JoesInBoston
I know a huge number of my teammates are very excited / hoping to see the old Blue Hills Course back in action.

A great course, and it's four miles from my front door. Hopefully I'll be riding over to the start this summer.

Fun factoid:
We may or may not see a certain former vuelta winner doing leadouts at Rockleigh this year.
