Component Back-Orders
Been looking for a bunch of stuff for my spouse's bike to be, and damn if everything I want seems to be backordered. Then Chain Reaction pops up as a top seller, with dollar prices and pound prices. So the Shimano brifters I want, the ST-R600 for small hands were 200 bucks, plus 15 bucks to ship to the US. Everything I found here is almost 400 if in stock. I don't think the ones I got have the cables included, but that is not rearlly a big deal.
Anyone else find a lot of back orders or no-stock on Shimano products?

My local bike shop told me that with the economic downturn, component makers let their stock slide, thus the backorders.
