Shimano 105 R7000 Rear Derailleur with Dura Ace 7900 Shifters

I know this is a bit of a weird question.

Would a Shimano 105 RD-R7000 (11 speed) rear derailleur be compatible with 10 speed Shimano Dura Ace 7900 downtube shifters (and appropriate 10 speed cassette)?

Thanks for the opinions and information!

It's not a weird question but the answer is no. For 11 spd Shimano changed the amount of cable pulled with each shift. You can use any 8-9-10 spd derailleur (but not Tiagra 4700) or Microshift if you want another option.

I suspected that they changed the cable pull amount but this confirms it. Thanks!

So, a 10-speed Tiagra 4700 rear derailleur also won't work with the 10-speed Dura Ace downtube shifters?
