Early 60's Ideor Asso
Hi, just trying to figure out the year of my early 60's Ideor Asso. They stopped making them in '62, so it's pre-62. Renovated most of it, without repaint (apparently it was repainted before I acquired it). Their original paint jobs were not the best, so many that survive unfortunately end up with paint jobs. Tried to restore to spec, not knowing exactly what year. Serial is: 343577. Ideor Asso Competition model, it seems.

This should get interesting, if someone does a pic-assist. Or in this case, an Asso-assist. 😁
Sight unseen, I'm calling '61 (probably way off).

Ideors tended to have cromovelato paint jobs over cheap/half-assed Italian single-layer chromium plating, so feel blessed if you have any finish at all.

That's a marque I have not heard about in awhile. One of college pals had a mid-to-high end Ideor Asso from about your same vintage.

That bike there with original paint is rare to even find a good picture of! Thanks for posting it! If it were local I would probably grab it, since mine is a bit too small for me.
I found this repainted Ideor last year at a garage sale, and months later actually met the original owner (a since-deceased physics PhD) who had most recently completed several Death Rides on it in the 1990's. His wife later had me fix up a mountain bike for him so that he could continue riding. He was suffering from a degree of memory dementia and when they arrived to pick up the mtb he didn't mention this Ideor that his daughter-in-law had sold me just months earlier.
Good-handling bike and with plenty of tire clearance, so I've been off road with it and have done brisk training rides on it as well.
Parts upgrades other than pedals and saddle were all done by the original owner, who I believe also laced up the Torelli rims himself.
Serial Number is low 344*** so perhaps just a year or less newer than the OP's.

Five road models were offered; the top four of which employed the same frame.
Have owned four road models and one track.
The forum has had a number of threads on these.
Anyone curious about the marque can use the search function to bring them up.
Lug pattern is Agrati "AM" with the addition of the slot cutout.
Also employed by Galmozzi and a couple other makers.
Crown a stock BOCAMA offering.
Latest word is that replacement transfers are now available from member Gus Salmon.
