Hot deals - post 'em if you got 'em.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Someone made a suggestion to have a place to post good deals that we find, seems like a great idea. So, if you see something out there that you think others would be interested in, post them here.

Surely that happened *after* my suggestion.

The Conti Attack/Force combo (like a F/R specific GP4000S, for those unfamiliar) is priced aggressively at PBK - $81 and change for the pair, plus they have a 10% code going right now.

For those looking for a good value in training/everyday tires, the Michelin Lithion 2 are a $23 each (a little less if you buy more than one set) plus the 10% off.

Not that it matters, but I hit the little "stick thread" button when I posted it.

Good deal, I need to pick up some cheap tires for winter.

Awesome! Thanks for getting it started and stickied, LowCel.

I'll post the pedal deal here so my old thread will die a faster death:

Smokin' deal on a discontinued Mavic pedal at CC. Similar deals are popping up elsewhere.

Thanks but I'm just the one that posted the thread. It was discussed by several mods / admins before I posted it.

CNC cantilever brakes. 30 bones for the set. Seems like a pretty good deal to me, I ordered a set a few days ago, I will post the results.

It was all road cycling items. Chainlove was the mtb side of the site. They ended up combining the two but there is very little road related on there now.

As LC mentions, it's the same as chainlove but with for road cycling. They only had one deal at a time, it was timed offer ("oh no - I need to jump on this deal in the next 23 minutes!") and the discounts were deeper than normally available at their sister sites.

Yesterday Nashbar had a secret sale of 20% off certain items. There was a Schwinn bike with 105 levers and external bearing Suntour cranks for $600 after discount, before shipping. The Nashbar carbon frameset was $480 after discount, before shipping. I was intrigued. The Discipline Fairy was kind though and granted me the will to not click 'Buy'.

105 levers are on sale for $221 though, and having just wrecked my 10 speed, need some levers. I do not have the fundage right now though, and I am sad.

Been wanting to replace the bikes on my cx bike for a while. Just ordered a set. Thanks for the heads up.

Not to mention the killer deals on Ridley frames (and others) at Competitive Cyclist. Got my excalibur frame for $656, currently on for $799 (they say retail is $2195 but that's obviously doubtful).

Planet X USA has vintage Cinelli Spinaci aero bar on sale for $12.5. Very popular in the 90's! Color choice is kind of limited.
