Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Didn't think much of it as I've never shopped there. I'm sure like most of these places Oakley actually sells them overstock or rejected frames that have slight defects to get rid of them and just say they don't sell to those guys. Honestly its worth a shot. I have 3 jawbreaker frames from Oakley and love them!

In regards to nashbar returns I have seen two options play out where it is worth keeping an eye on.

A pair of nashbar rollers for ~$60 or so. It said out of stock once it was in cart. But it still let me check out and I received what looked like new rollers. I have also had the same happen where you go all the way to end of checkout and then get the OOS message.

Wow, read some reviews for these. Might be just what I need. They're 11 speed? and does anyone have them and can attest how good they are>?

I used to have a set. Broke a rear spoke, and I'm just a 138-pound guy without much power. I've only ever broken 1 spoke before (more than 150,000 miles in the bank), and that was on a cheap, old Performance wheelset a long, long time ago. It's a shame, because I liked them otherwise.

Shimano Ultegra wheels are a better bet, IMO.

I'm assuming you repaired.. the broken spoke?

That'd probably make me lose my confidence in a wheel, too. I'm running RS81s right now, but they have a lot of miles on them. This is in my budget and it's Eastons top of the line alloy wheel. Gotta think about it for another day or so.. Cuz I'm 190lbs.. and everything I can find says there's no weight limit on the Eastons.

Performance Bicycle Triple Points for Team Performance Members - 6/5-6/11 at Performance Bike
The main page says Sunday only but the triple point deal is good until 6/11.
I bought my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt computer from Performance and got the triple points $90. I'll probably just get clothes with that $. Performance screwed up my order and a supervisor took care of me so it all worked out.

Me too. Past two years, all I ever see is XS. I don't get it even thought they update the model to 2016 now 2017, never have stock of anything.

What's the widest tire you can run in the Ridley from performance? My buddy is looking for one to run 28-32 tires

On the one I posted you may be able to run 28...accent on "may." I would call Performance. The wheelset specified will run 32s, but you would probably get some pinch flats of you bounce it on bad pavement. I don't know about brake/fork clearance.

Here are the wheelset specs from Fulcrum

Close, but no cigar. Needs ball ends. The Park PH-X wrenches are so insanely perfect, I'm surprised they haven't been cloned widely. I think Nashbar/Performance/SpinDoctor have a similar set, as well as Pedro's, but I'd really love to get a $20-ish set from Lowes or Harbor Freight or something. For now I just have PH-5.

SBRunner - 10 cent bike phone mount

Hey Guys,

Looks like SBRunner is promoting their stuff again for cheap. $.10 for a cell phone mount. Says normally $19.99, but i see it listed for $9.99 and then the coupon makes it 10 cents. This time they're giving individual coupon codes which means you have to sign up for the code.

store20258611.mysellerpal.com/sbrunner-universal-bike-motorcycle-phone-holder

Enjoy!

Just to be a pessimist.. but ever think that somehow they're making money on such a transaction, and how they're doing it?

I think Best Buy still has a sale now in store only on the GoPro Hero5 Black for $300 +free SD card. I guess not really a hot deal but seems like a good deal. Not sure if I want to get it or not.
