Noisy new setup
2x10 speed road bike w/ SRAM force derailleur
Background to issue: noticed idler pulley got bent somehow while riding and caused the chain to keep falling off the pulley. Replaced both pulleys, switched from a SRAM red cassette (worn out) to a Shimano 10sp cassette and the chain to a Shimano chain.
There’s a decent amount of noise coming from either the pulleys or coming from the chain when it first lands on the cassette. I can’t figure out where exactly it’s coming from. It sounds like the chain is rubbing but there is nowhere I can see it rubbing. There was virtually no drivetrain noise before I changed the parts out.
What I’ve tried:
I adjusted the derailleur and it appears to be perfectly lined up. Shifts fine between gears.
Realigned the hanger as it was bent inward.
Adjusting the b-screw but didn’t change anything.
Thanks in advance!

With both the derailleur pulleys and hanger having gotten bent, it is possible that the derailleur has been damaged also.

Well, if the pulleys and hanger got bent I would check the derailleur itself for bent components. I cannot imagine an impact that would bend those items and leave the rest of the structure unharmed. Check that the pulleys are parallel to each other and to the mounting surface. Look for twists or bends in the structural parts. Are the pulley axles straight? Do you have the chain routed correctly? I have to ask, I have done it myself.

It the chain laying fully on the pulley wheels? You didn't get the chain on the wrong side of the little keeper tab that is on many pully wheel cages did you?

Hard to envision the pulleys being damaged without the cage also being damaged. Perhaps a new RD is needed.
