Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My understanding was that lactic acid does build up in muscles during exercise, but it doesn't cause the "burn" nor soreness afterwards, no matter how much we want it to make sense that the acid causes the "burn".

I just make a point of never watching GCN. Or really much of anything on YouTube. With the golden age of scripted television we're in, I think YouTube is now the far worse.

I take GCN with a grain of salt, but they’re entertaining at least.

What is queued shifts? I have eTap on a bike, probably gen 1, and am trying to imagine what that is.

Edit: I looked up queued shifts. Never had those, knock on wood.

I enjoyed chemistry. And yes, I would call it lactic acid

Set a new 60” power this morning: 472w. Nice to see improvements again after the heat snuffed those out over the past few months.

Oh, Florida:

"...a runaway barge at one point threatened to crash into Interstate 10's Escambia Bay Bridge, located several miles inland.

[Escambia County Sheriff] Morgan told the New York Times he considered several ways to stop the barge, including firing 40-millimeter grenades at it. That plan was scuttled when the sheriff decided it was too dangerous and probably wouldn't solve the problem."

Our curves prolly cross at about 70" and stay socially distanced, otherwise.

As a side, I was quite confused trying to figure out what 5 feet of power was, then impressed with an hour of 472 wattage, final got it.....probably shouldn't mention that units of measurements is kindof what I do....
