Hello
I'm a film-maker and 3D animator who cycles a great deal. I live in Tuscany and the terrain here is magnificent. I also cycle in Palestine twice a year where I teach and run Bike Palestine.

Welcome to Bike Forums. We'd love to see pictures of your scenic rides in Tuscany and the Middle East.

Presently I ride a very old and rusty road bike given to me around 15 years ago. It's an aluminium frame and the gears are stick shift. My favourite ride is around lake Trasimeno which is close to my house in the village of Poggioni which is near Cortona. The ride is 115 km exactly. On a long Summer day I'll get up early and go for 150 to 200 km and try to get home before nightfall. There is always a climb at the end of my rides as I live at 700 metres above sea level. As soon as I'm able I'll post some pictures of the locality.

As soon as I can I'll put up some snaps of Tuscany and Palestine. Very different cycling conditions. Tuscany has gentle hills whereas Palestine is much hillier. The road surface is reasonably good at both locations with Palestine slightly ahead in quality of surface. Generally speaking traffic is quite easy in Tuscany whereas in Palestine it is extremely noisy as one approaches a major city. More details to follow....

As soon as I can I will put up some pictures of my favourite rides. In the meantime let me tell you today is 'new bike day'. I've had the same old stick-shift bike for 15 years and now it's time for some newer wheels. I'd welcome a lighter bike as the last 7 to 13 km of my rides is uphill.
