Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Google shopping gives no results for a complete Sram rival groupset in any form. You might be able to buy it one part at a time but it would probably come in at way more $$$ than Shimano 5800. Is there a reason for this? Is it feasible to build up a bike with rival in the US atm?

I'm not sure about shipping to the US from that site, and its $518 without it. I feel like I've seen it for more like $400 but I could be wrong. Is it just not commonly sold at a price that directly competes with 5800?

shipping is $28 .

Most places charge more for Rival than 5800, and now few UK sites will sell SRAM groupsets to US customers.

ebay lists a couple of Taiwanese sellers that offer full groupsets for around $500 with free shipping or you can buy from the UK and pay for shipping.

btw, the $518 price includes UK VAT( US buyers don't pay VAT). the US price is $432.30 + $28.82 for shipping.

That's not so bad, I guess $60 doesn't really matter if Sram is preferred.
