Looks like a nice deal:

NEW, Wheel Set, 650 B and Tires - $100

New wheel set with sprocket (13-30), 650 B with new un-used pair of Panaracer, Col de Vie Randonnee 650 B tires and tubes. I was going to build up a randonee bike but never did. These are a nice lightweight ALESA wheel set made in Belgium.

Geometry looks very much of the "sport"type, rather than for racing. Nice crankset, but clearly overpriced.

Swapped out to 700c, fatter tires, and single speed or a 1x5, no matter the tubing it would be a fun ride for trails.

Yeah, I could see that. A set of 700 x 35's could transform that thing into quite an authentic-looking Eroica ride. What a sleeeper this one would make.

I believe we moved that thing three times and ended up chopping it up to use the deraileur, chain, and the big cog off the freewheel to turn the oil pump on the big Nasal 3B power hammer in the forge/shop.
Pics (or better, video) or it didn't happen!
No video, dad's in the process of replacing the motor starter on this beast, so it's inop at the moment. I thought we'd used the rear triangle with hanger, but since it's just the rear mech here, we might have that frame kicking around somewhere.

Selling a lightly restored vintage MTB. This model was one of the first large-scale production MTBs ever. It's a large/XL frame, with a 21.5" seat tube and a 23.25" top tube. Diamond Back / Centurion spared no expense on this bike -- it's quite lightweight for its age, with impressive components. Looking to sell locally, but open to driving a reasonable distance to meet you. Happy to answer questions or take more pics, but please read full ad before asking for more info. Features: * Lugged frame with Tange Champion #5 tubing * Suntour Superbe Tech drivetrain -- shifters and rear derailleur were completely torn down, cleaned, and rebuilt * Suzue high-flange sealed bearing hubs * Sugino AT cranks -- 180 mm, great for tall riders * Suntour Alpha 5 speed 14-30 freewheel, NOS, installed a week ago * Dia-Compe 980 cantilever brakes with brand-new Aztec pads * Interesting swept-back bullmoose bars * Schwalbe Big Ben 26x2.1 tires for comfy urban cruising -- new * All-new Jagwire cables installed * Headset and bottom bracket recently fully serviced * New KMC chain * New WTB grips * Frame treated with frame saver while I had it apart * Still has dealer sticker for additional vintage cool factor Issues: * Paint chips here and there, but no rust -- this is not a museum bike, but still a looker! * Original Vetta/Centurion saddle is torn and a bit hard * Seatpost has some scoring (purely a cosmetic issue) * Wheels could use a little truing -- I may get to this before selling Free extras (if you want them): * A set of off-road tires, used but with plenty of life left * Original Suntour seatpost QR (the skewer part snapped in half) * A couple of black bottle cages I never installed[/QUOTE]

Interesting old paper boy rack. I was thinking about grabbing it to use on a touring bike...but damn it looks heavy.

Alessandro “Guerciotti” - 56cm - $350 - El Cajon, CA

I’ve read on this forum that Alessandro was built by Guerciotti, who named it after his son. Looks to be in amazing condition, and a great price if the quality is the same as the main brand.

It is a cyclocross bike. If you want a flat bar 700c wheeled off road bike you need to look for early ‘90s Project 5 or 7.

a 26” wheeled equivalent would be an Incline
