I'm currently in Mexico and there's very little concern here at the moment.
I'm not sure if I'll make it back to Canada on schedule with all the trouble....
If gas shortages develope we can all make do on our bikes.....

There should be plenty of gas and diesel around as so many people are not driving.

Yes, for the first time in years I'm seeing gas under $2. Hardly any traffic. Not many bright spots to be found here but my daily rides will be safer.

Hark! The first Raleigh Superbe ride of Spring
I took my first three-speed ride of the year. This has been a day of bike building (Peugeot AO8 commuter) and cooking, and I had some time before supper to go out into the neighborhoods. This thing rides perfectly. The AG ticks along very quietly. I topped it up with a little 0W20, ditto for the shifter, pumped the tires, and I was off. I'm going to find a taller stem though. I need to raise the saddle higher for my knees.

Bicycle LIberation! Take it. Its current owner abandoned and neglected it. You will give it better home. It will live and not die to neglect. But yes, make sure no one is around when you cut the chain. But ethically, morally, you are right.

Ask and ye shall receive. The Cyclo 3 speed is a neat piece of mechanical history. It is finicky to operate, but I really like how it expands the gear possibilities. It is also another cool talking point for this bike. I have to find a long stem though and put some foam above the saddle rails - the leather is too soft and so it's not very comfortable.

No problem. The Superbe was my first project. I've learned a lot thanks to this forum. The axle is 6 1/2". Owning lighter bicycles I wouldn't want to take this old fella on longer trips, but it is nice for day rides around the city and along our river paths. It also just turned 70 years old, and I've just turned 30. It is fun to ride around on a machine that is ten years older than my Dad.

That's great, looks like fun. Maybe someday I can get back into traveling to new and exciting places to ride. Although, these days it will have to be flatter terrain than this.

There is separate bike path around 30 miles or so of Lake Tahoe (the northwest corner) and that is actually quite flat as it follows the shore to a large degree, beautiful place to pedal a bike!

I just looked on gogle and there is much less bike trail than I thought around lake tahoe, only ~6 miles worth,
