Looks like we're shopping for roughly the same style of bike... I decided to go with the Lynskey R230. Depending on the build you could get it under $4K. Granted that would be Ultegra or Rival with mid-range wheels.

Oy vey....my current build is rounding out 4K. I guess that is what you get for piecing things together. IF Crown Jewel SE, Chorus 11, WI hub/Aerohead wheels and too many nice little extra bits
