The Super Course goes to its new home

As seen here and there, I've lightly modded this nice 1972 Super Course for my son who is relatively inexperienced at cycling but appreciative of vintage aesthetics.

The final configuration:

He had my Sports for a short while but found it too heavy to drag three flights up to an attic apartment in Brooklyn.

The handoff:

I'll kinda miss it. Thanks to nlerner, ctmullins and Lascauxcaveman for providing some of the new bits.

MODS: I didn't mean to stick this in "What's it worth", could you kindly relocate to the C&V forum? Oops and thank you!

Thanks for asking juvela, I have noglider to thank for the all-rounder bars and stem and I neglected to acknowledge him. It was clearly too late for me to be making sense! He pulled it out of his barn, I think it's a Raleigh from a Twenty or some other small bike.

Glad to help and very nicely done, Andy. Out of curiosity, was the BB 26tpi or English threaded?

Thanks, Neal. It was Brampton 26...le sigh.
Jacob is tickled to pieces with the bike. He featured it on Instagram last night.

Very nicely done I did a similar mod of a friends super course that had been languishing in a basement for 20 years, Put flat bars on it and a rebuild and it got some new life

Really nice looking Super Course. Your son is a lucky guy.
May I ask what how you did the outlining of the lugs?

Thank you. He's very grateful. I'm hoping he is encouraged to ride because he doesn't exercise much and if he enjoys riding perhaps he'll continue as I have.
The head tube lugs still had some of their original lining, I freshened it up, a tad clumsily, with a gold fine point Sharpie Paint Marker. I've also used Sakura Pen Touch paint pens, they've got finer points but I couldn't get the one I have to flow.
