People are buying lots and lots of bikes here, but I think they want them strictly for transportation, so they don't want anything they can't lock up on the street. (Still. as always, many (most?) of them will end up with rides that don't fit, are total junk, or are inappropriate for other reasons, and because of it will end up deciding they don't like riding after all.)

$500 is alot more on par with reality.
IMO, because it's so clean it should hold some collectability value.
and, agreed ... I've witnessed the kinds of bikes that NYers are ending up riding due to the rush on cycling here.
The small shop in Queens I spin wrenches at still gets flooded with calls daily from folks looking to buy, but we pretty much only do service.

Serious overprice... It's NR, not SR. A Yellow 58 cm Victory equipped version just sold on ebay- (Exact same Columbus frame per Guerciotti 1984 catalog) for $625, plus $100 shipping on ebay... I'd say $300-400 too high. I've never seen that turquoise before Very pretty.! bike needs a little work too. I better get my pink 60 cm 84 finished and up for sale...
