Good price for a lightly used 2000 Trek 5200 USPS bike?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good price for a lightly used 2000 Trek 5200 USPS bike?

I am debating making an offer on a very lightly used Trek 5200. I ride about 1500 miles a year, not all that fast. I am not heavy or especially demanding. I think the bike would be fine for my purposes

What do a good price would be? Supposedly, the bike has no defects and has less than 1000 miles.

Thanks in advance

John
