1984 Bianchi Eco Pista
I recently inherited a Bianchi bicycle from a relative. I know nothing about Bicycles and figured I would try a couple forums to try and shed some light.
I know the bike is from the 1980s and appears to be a 1984 bianchi eco pista or something similar. Bike is very dirty but in great condition besides that. It has the numbers 40704865 in the bottom. Does anyone know anymore information about the bike or how much I should trying selling it for?
will not allow me to add photos of the bike you can message me if interested.

clean it up and post some photos
you will need 10 posts to be able to post a pic. If it is a Pista with the intact Gipiemme track group , its a fairly desirable bike

Based on the serial number, what you have a 1984 entry level model. I have yet to see any Bianchi Pista model with that serial number format.

Thanks everyone for the information! I figured the bike was the 1984 eco pista because it looks very similar to the picture of one in the 1980s bianchi catalog after looking at it more I found a sticker that says piaggio bianchi on it. The bike is black with gold letters and a blue stripe at the bottom of the logo. Most to the parts are made by shimano and has a air pump that says Zèfal hp on it.

As I stated earlier, it's a 1984 model. A 1985 model would not have Piaggio decals.
