Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, here's my 2011 Madone 5.9. Not a trek hater but on my rough roads this just does not cut it so it's been sitting more than not in my house as I take out any of my more comfortable steel bikes. In fact, I've got this listed locally for sale because I just don't ride it. Nice bike if the roads are smooth.

I guess this is an older pic though. I've upgraded some parts and the Williams System 30s are off and the original Bontragers are back on.

Here's my 2015 Trek Boone 5 disc (105 non hydro version). I have a new custom wheelset coming in, and I'll update y'all with some legit pictures when I get them. For now you have to deal with the mismatched trainer wheel.

How do I make the pics bigger? I uploaded them from the comp not from a photo sharing site.

That's a sweet ALR! And to get it down to 16lb is amazing for an aluminum bike! Those Paradigms are the latest wheels from Bontrager and they are indeed pretty lightweight! Nice ride!

I assume you built it from a frameset since Red is not offered on a ALR.

I like Trek a lot too. In fact, I say death to all other brands! Ok maybe I'm getting a bit carried away.

But anyway here's my oldschool '94 950. Love this bike with its True Temper tubing frame and great climbing geometry.

Just upgraded the old girl as a blast around, lunchtime workout bike. My old 5000 frame with a new 5800 groupset, Ksyrium SLs, and associated parts to make it fit. A little tall at the bar with all the spacers in, but it's comfy.

Might as well post my updated Domane 4

Started off as a 2013 Domane 4.5 10 speed 52cm
105 bits replaced with 6700 crank and 6800 brakes
Giant PSLR0 Aero carbon wheels
80mm Deda stem (instead of 90 stock)
Frame replaced under warranty to 2015 frame
Easton EC90SL bars with Bontrager tape
Specialized Power Comp saddle(not shown)

Not planning any more changes as I’m happy with the component mix unless something breaks

Absolutely amazing! I am guessing you are not able to try out the new setup outside just yet? I am very curious to hear how you like it. I am guessing it is quite impressive!

I installed it yesterday and was able to take if for a short "shakedown" ride. Once setup it works flawlessly. I tried every bizarre combination, chainring and cassette in the same direction and then in opposite directions. The trick is to tap both levers and then let go of the left lever is you want the rear to move to a smaller cog, or the right lever to move to a larger cog.

I did accidentally tap the right lever when I wanted to move to a larger cog... force of habit.

Installation was straight forward and adjustments were easy.

My second bike (and my son's bike).
2014 Trek Madone 2.1 with mostly 105 on it. Great bike for a 12 year old. Heck, great bike for a 37 year old too .

Nice... one of the LBS has a 2013 with full 105 10 speed for $900. I would of grabbed it for a foul weather bike, but I wanted Sram and the cost of replacing the shifters and FD/RD makes it too expensive.

Hey just saw this thread, Ive already *****d out this pic of my bike everywhere else..... but i guess I can do it here too.

This is my Commuter Bike. When I don't feel like paying for parking downtown I ride this instead. It was my dream Bike for many many years, and when I heard of a local guy selling his in my size. I picked it up no questions asked.

I contacted trek to see how rare it is, and they said they made 300 of them just for the "one year". Thats across all the sizes, So there are probably less than 75 of these Trek District Carbon in a size 52cm.

hope you trek lovers enjoy current weight as pictured is 11lbs even.
