Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Toy :) w/ Pics

Don't make fun of me! I'm noob and had to stop by LBS five time to pick up tools. First build, second bike (first one got stolen).

https://gal.12scenicpoint.com/v/cycling/carbon2009/

New build, special thanks to Psimet for helping me figure out all the options.

~1750 total, 750 overbudget XD.

The hanger needs to be adjusted and it needs bartape. WOOT! Going riding/adjusting. Do people have nicknames for their bikes or is that too poser?

VERY freakin nice!! I have the same wheels and love them. That frame shape in all black looks sweet and I really like the "wing" style bars. Why did you settle on that saddle?

The kind you buy when your overbudget by a lot. I ride barefoot so clipless wouldn't have done me any good unless I put some screws in my foot.

I'm never in my seat anyways since I usually ride on 53/12. That and the fact that seats would make me sterile (I don't have any kids yet!).

eBay frame/fork that was rejected at the factory for the channel due to blemishes.

Probably, I didn't know EA90 front wheels were directional.

You ride barefoot and mostly out of the saddle? You're joking, right? Sorry, my sarcasm meter is being all whacky.

Hey, that's what happens when you spend most of your time dialing it up to 400 watts.

so, when one is...

...barefoot
...riding out of the saddle (for obvious reasons, by the look of the saddle)
...and not using bar tape
...with a backwards front wheel

...how much help is carbon fiber?

i mean, really?

that being... it's a VERY attractive bike.. it just needs some love
