Eroica CA, September 12, 2021

The Eroica website is now showing a ride date of September 12, 2021.

Time for a new thread?

Yeah, and since you're a local, share any info or rumors you hear...

I just got my appointment for my second shot, things are moving along . I now give it better than 50-50. My wife just had her first shot so at this point I would say we are in. I think with a good portion of us vaccinated and proper precaution it could happen. Will it be as good...better...or worse? I’m still mourning the Paso Robles venue, but hey it is a really great event and a chance to be with some other classic bike folks. When my customers come in my shop they see my bikes all lined up and always have some comments but the last thing they want is an in depth conversation of the history of Ernesto Colnago or Tulio Campagnolo! There are a couple of small bike shops locally that still get a few of us C&V folks in now and then but it ain’t like an entire weekend of classic bliss.

Paso was a better start point because you could get out to the coast in the morning before the onshore wind picked up, then you got some tailwinds heading home. Now, starting and finishing in Cambria, it's the opposite. {shrug} What can you do? It's still a great ride.
