Probably the last ride with my red hot Cinnamon Girl, the ‘86 Trek 760 Pro Series. Lovely last ride of the season.

I love the amount of participation in this thread. All great submissions & some extraordinary photos to boot!

We’re definitely wrapping up with fall here in Oregon’s Willamette Valley as winter is steadily creeping in. Colder temps, silver skies, wetter conditions, and snow in the forecast. Most deciduous trees and shrubs are finally bare.

But I did spot a bit of late color outside of a coffee shop yesterday. Grape vine, and a Schwinn Voyageur just beyond...

Enjoying 2020 foliage in the Bay Area on a 1961 Rene Herse.
"Gem" handlebar tape makes a good match to leaves.

It's interesting that this thread started in 2019 and revived in 2020. If it returns in 2021 I guess we'll have a new tradition.

The fall colors in the Portland area have been unusually bright. I guess that's because the temperature dropped 15 to 20 degrees in a week and many, many trees changed at once. I captured a couple photos but I also know cyclist/webmaster/photographer Jon Kraft so I'll post a couple of his photos instead.

Another thing about falling leaves is that they tend to fall on our favorite riding areas. Bike lanes tend to get swept clean by auto traffic, but leaves falling on bike paths tend to form layers, which turn super slippery after getting mashed down for a couple days. I've been cleaning up a local bike path for a few years, which earned write ups in the local newspaper and BikePortland:
https://www.columbian.com/news/2020/...205-bike-path/
https://bikeportland.org/2020/11/18/...doption-322900

A couple photos from Jon Kraft:
