Raleigh Twenty - Auxilliary propulsion system

How about this - a Raleigh Twenty with a few subtle modifications to allow for a functioning Pulse Jet engine.
Madness!

Gotta love the pulse jet engine... the only "disposable" engine that trumps the Harley Davidson V-twin for short longevity, annoying noise levels and voracious appetite for fuel considering it's very small power output in return.

I'm grieving for a perfectly good Twenty that got sliced and diced.. Couldn't they hack up a huffy or another flavor of BSO??

The Raleigh 20 was the most mass produced bicycle in Raleigh's history.... there is no lack of them and you do not wanna see what is going on in my shop right now.

I'd love to see too. Since doing a bit of ghetto brazing on mine last autumn I'm beggining to think getting two folding ones and creating a tandem monster might be fun, though I reckon welding might be a safer offing...

Oh yes—and regarding the hacking of an otherwise innocent R20 - here in the UK they can be found in about 2 out of 3 any given suburban garage/basements—so it's really not much of a thing for it to have given it's life so that others may lengthen its wheelbase and strap a pulse jet engine to it.
