Hello from Jamestown, Virginia
I'm a fairly new rider--bought a refurbed Bianchi Brava a few years ago, have used the bike mostly to supplement my running. I have logged several half centuries, looking forward to my first hundred miler in a few weeks.

Welcome.
You have some nice riding area there. Watch out for cycling to supplement running. I did the same - got a mountain bike, then a road bike, did some tris, and now barely run.

Thanks!
Yeah, I've "borrowed" my son's mountain bike and visited the single track trails in the area. It's fun but it's also an expensive sport compared to running.

Jamestown......do you ride the Capital Trail? I just discovered it within the past few weeks and have already been there twice! What a great trail!

Yes, the Capital Trail starts about a mile from my house. I ride it regularly--in fact, I got my first century ride in on it about a month ago, from my house to the end of the trail in Richmond and back, about 107 miles. It's a wonderful trail, and I'm glad to have it because the roads in James City County are generally not all that bike friendly.
