Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

God, I love flapjacks. I don’t think I’ve had them in ten years or more, but I remember the last time.

Leftover pancakes could conceivably stand in for sporting clays in a pinch. Backyard variety.

This Zion hype is over the top ridiculous. Redundancy intentional.

Hey, at least you aren't trying to get the SRAM aero rings I drooled over when I was starting; those were 54/42. There was no fatty/ novice option.
I finally went in for a 55/42 on the TT bike. I never thought I was strong enough to warrant it, but you finally talked me into it when you discussed the chainline stuff. Physics wins over biology.

One time on a century ride they served the flapjack cousin (French toast) at a rest stop.

I prefer ye ol' pancake, but I had some French toast and syrup.

It's something. I hope the kid turns into a superstar, before the pressure gets him.

Speaking of, when did AB go from self centered jerk, to mentally ill? He's over the edge now, it seems.

I would eat pancakes pre 100 mile ride. Same with waffles, or french toast.

I would assume he was always mentally ill; the Steelers just did a good enough job of managing him that we didn't see it fully until he was no longer under their protection.

Because there's not much football to talk about and the basketball talk engages fewer people. And it's winter, so there's less actual riding banter.

There's a ****ty little convenience store along the Cap Trail (between Williamsburg and Richmond). On my last trip, during my Festive, I stopped in there and saw that they had Moon Pies. I hadn't seen one in decades, so I got one. I stopped each of the next two days, too.
