What is Your Oldest Bike?

Mine is an 87 Bianchi Trofeo Campioni del Munro with mid level Campi

(pic is not my bike but a dead ringer since it currently is in pieces)

A lightly upgraded 2013 Fuji 1.3 disc...as in full 105 (2x11) with hydraulic brakes and DT Swiss P1800 Spline 23...that my son is using to race CX this year...once the restrictions are lifted.

My 1996 Trek 520 touring bike is still in use on the indoor trainer with Zwift. Now use a Jamis Renegade Escapade for the limited amount/type of touring I do these days, but the 520 is racking up miles on Zwift.

Yes, the tires didn't match at that time.

Oldest bike I've had since new would be this 93 Breezer Lightning. Buying an old bike is easy.

1972 Raleigh Superbe. I commuted to work on this for years, still use it for running errands now that I'm retired:

Mine is a 1971 Stella, mid level with basic Campagnolo components. I don’t ride it much as it is too small but it was a gift from a close friend who I used to ride with in the seventies.

1960 Olmo Gran Sport

This bike is almost entirely original. I did swap out the original steel stem and ambrosio bar and for a cinelli bar and stem that fit me better. The saddle is a repop but it does say Olmo. The wheels, crank, headset, derailleurs, brakes, and pedals are all original. I've been riding it though with "newer" clinchers that date from the 70s (also with record hi flange hubs). I love the decals which are 60 years old and still going strong. The bike rides great. It has campy drop outs and it is made of Falck tubing. It has half step gearing with a 49/46 up front (steel cottered crank with aluminum chain rings) and a 13-26 in the rear. I take it out once a year on an "age" appropriate ride (as many miles as the bike has years; I figure that will get harder as the bike and I get older).

My 1983 Trek 620, rescued from an LBS. It was needing too much work to turn a profit. They were also moving to a new building, So they were going to send the entire thing to the dumpster. When I asked about it, the counter lady said "Take it, you'll be saving us the trouble of dumping it". And I did.
It did need a lot of work. New chain, tires, tubes, seat, RD, bar tape, and having the rear wheel serviced. I spent about $200 to bring it up to rideable condition. Also removed a bit of rust and attempted to match the paint to cover the bare spots. It's been a great bike since then.

1983 Schwinn Super Sport. Upgraded the drivetrain to Shimano RX100 FD/RD. Really just brings the bike into the early 90s. Love that thing.

Mine is my LWB RANS Stratue LE. It is a 2008 model that I have kept in like new condition. It has appox 15,000 miles on it. Starting in 2005 I totally ditched the 1890 bicycle technology.

Well I guess the 1985 Trek 520 is probably the oldest bike but I am not sure the age of my Cilo frame so that is possibly older.

1959 Hugo Rickert - the next project

My Winter project, all the bits are in place. (well, almost)
Campa Gran Sport, Galli, Universal
(Proof that sloping top tubes have been around a long time)

531 tubes, rollers at BB for derailleur wire routing

cyclocross tires (33mm with knobs) only to see how fat tires will fit. So maybe smooth 35s.

A colleague gave me a 1963 Schwinn cruiser, and it's at my workplace, for anybody who wants to take it for a joy ride. Besides making sure it's lubricated, and putting new tires on it, I've deliberately left it in un-restored condition. One reason is to show people that such a humble bike actually works great and is fun to ride.
