Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep 56.666666667 is the low limit of upper 50s if you count mids.

If you don't utilize mids, then 55 is the low limit of uppers.

When I was young, a professional barber nicked my ear with his clippers. He gave me a lollipop, but I wasn't so easily bought. I have avoided barbers, as much as possible, ever since.

I think it's time for me to give up riding platforms on anything more technical than rails-to-trails.

Well, our Illinois governor just ordered all bars and restaurants closed for inside service beginning end of business Monday till April 1st. Only drive-up and carry out will be allowed.

Oof. That's going to ruin a lot of them. The restaurant gig isn't exactly easy.

No kidding. I eat lunch out a lot, often mid-ride in the winter. I’ll have to start eating at Casey’s General Stores, I guess.

I've been to a barber once since I moved to CO in 1997.

I nicked my kid's ear yesterday. My bad.

Mess. The end is here. The ripple effects. We went to the diamond and did some BP and fielding and pitching. Not many were out. I was telling my kid to get used to it because school might not start again. Then we came home, watched the Jordan-Wilkins dunk contest and Dee Brown's no look dunk on Youtube. I told him to get used to that too. Then we developed our educational plan for Monday and Tuesday.

People here in Philadelphia are definitely not out and about as much. Yesterday I had to park some 3 blocks away during a time when I can usually find parking on my block. Went shopping earlier today on the bike a lot less car and foot traffic than usual. A lot less.

Guilty, although I did resist posting the SNL Chance the Rapper song, which is what I was really thinking.

I did not use the word resist in a political sense.

Not having any sports is a real drag. Can't they all play, but without fans? High schools are doing it. We need something to watch during the apocalypse.

Of course, I washed my hands after I was done.
