grips with screws
what is the pros and cons of grips with two screws?
...compared to traditional grips and hairspray.

Grips with screws are typically called lock-on grips...because once installed properly they generally are locked-on.
Traditional grips with hairspray can slip off especially if you ride in the rain and they get wet. It rains a lot here and most MTB'ers use lock-on grips.

I would figure an addict would be aware of the benefit/reason for design.

We used to ride moto dirtbikes. I dont recall ever seeing grips with screws in dirtbikes.
We used some contact glue and then safety wire the ends, just in case. similar to old school bicycle grips.

Again in my experience slipping happened when it rained, and it rains alot here. I remember the lock-on grips first appearing here around 2002; not sure when you rode dirtbikes.

i didnt like it, i replaced it with traditional grips. i dont recall why. i think it was because it was uncomfortable because my hand was was often pressing on the screw. i like to hold as far inward as possible when cruising.
