Nishiki Road Bike

Hello, this is the Craiglist post I'm asking about: nishiki road bike 48cm.

The owner doesn't know the exact model of the Nishiki... but he/she/they are the second owner.
How does the bike look? Is it worth $200? I'm going to check it out soon, but want to figure out a more expert's opinion before.

Thanks!

With no logos, more like $150. Also, that's a tiny frame (but I'm sure you already know that).
For reference, I recently sold a Nishiki Prestige for $160 and it sat on CL for a few weeks with little interest.

Not sure I'd pay 200 for a repainted, tiny, old, Japanese bike. Although it has a nice 105 rear derailleur on it. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure if Nishiki bikes were known to be very high quality back in the day. I thought they were generally entry level bikes (aka not worth 200 today.) (I may be completely wrong in that statement)

$75-100 tops, imo. That's if you really like the ride. Also have to mention - as someone else did - this a very small frame, you know that right?

Thanks for the advice, everyone! And I'm 5'3'' so I thought a 48cm road bike would be the right fit, according to this: Buying the right size bike, Cycle Experience. Unless the frame is smaller than that?

Yep that should fit you alright. If you are still interested in the bike I'd go for a test ride. It's probably not worth over a $100 though, imo. Seems like it's outfitted with pretty nice components and it could ride really nice, but that 'brush' paint job kind of kills the sellers $200 dream..

That bike has the wheelbase of a stretched limo. Makes it look like a Varsity and it's probably a lower level Nishiki.

Not worth asking price. $100 is probably more like it since the components appear to have some value.
