eBay - 56cm Surly LHT Deluxe bike

A rare LHT Deluxe popped up in my eBay feed today - it's not mine, and I don't know the seller:

I assumed your quad comment meant that it had a Mountain Tamer on it, so I had to look.

Chain is just off the crank I'm fairly certain.
Interesting bike, s+s couplers and dyno, might be worth it to some person.
I still haven't properly spent time with Jones bars, have a pair, will be fun one day to try them more.

Yeah, the chain wrapped around the bottom bracket shell.

The dyno looks like one of the lower end Shimano units. Several years ago the lower end ones had a reputation for high rolling resistance and the bike is several years old, so it is hard to say if that hub is very good. There was a fantastic sale on some wheels so I bought a couple complete wheels with that model dyno hub, have less than 100 miles on them so far, thus not sure what I think yet.

For its age, I thought the price was a little high with no S&S case, but if it is your size and you wanted an S&S bike, it might be priced just right.

And if you wanted Surly racks, that makes it more of a bargain. But, front rack might be missing the mounting hardware. I had a Surly front rack, I donated it to a charity, I also have a Surly rear rack but only used it for two tours. For touring I like the Tubus Logo much better. My Surly rear rack now is only used on my heaviest bike to occasionally hold my gym bag or a grocery store pannier.
