Another "Guess what Bianchi I just bought from one very bad picture" Thread

Here's the very bad picture:

Seller says it's a 75 Fausto Coppi Jubilee something (??)

If his bike knowledge is as bad as his picture taking skills are, that info is pretty much worthless.

Hope there's one or two detectives here that can tell me something about this.

Many thanks!

With HF hubs and lack of braze-ons, his date may be right.

Thanks, i thought 75 might be an appropriate guess. But what about the model. I can't seem to find anything with bianchi and coppi from the seventies...

just so ya know....there's a button on your keyboard called "Print Screen" you click it and it takes a picture of what's on your computer screen....no camera required

then you just open up paint and press paste and save the file.

Your photo is even worse because there's a glare on your monitor.

Print screen might not work because it seems to be in windows media player, and depending on the drivers it might be an overlay.

Mid 70's looks right. But it looks like a low-end model. Probably in nice shape though.

The seller took a picture of a video on a computer...and you're going to trust him enough to go and see it?

I say move along. If he's not taking photos of HIS bike, I'm not going to bother with him.

Thing is, i bought it already. No need to trust him, since it's amazingly cheap and he's most probably gonna send it to me (Swiss mail is really reliable when it comes to domestically shipping whole bikes carefully).

Of course it could be broken or not a Bianchi or maybe whatever, but for the money involved it's really worth it. I mean i get a surprise Bianchi via Mail. I find that very exciting.

Just wanted to see if anyone cares to throw in some wild speculations....

[QUOTE=

Even though the photo is not very clear, I see (or think I see) stamped drop-outs, their lower end headset, clunky seat-stay tops, steel seat-post, and a seat-tube decal that only came on the lower end bikes.

These were sort of the "boy racer" models. An entry level bike with all the styling cues of the pro bikes. They are cool when in complete original condition like that one appears to be.

I could be wrong, let's see it when it gets here.

Otis, this is exactly why i posted this crappy picture.

So much fun to look at two or three white pixels and some darker ones around them and conclude there's be a steel seatpost.

The stamped dropouts make sense, or there's one really strange fender braze-on.

I'm very curious to see the bike. Hope the seller contacts me soon...

Anyway thanks for the support

BTW, what do you make of that shiny stuff under the clamp-on shifters? Flashes of all kinds of damage rush through my head when i look at this...
